Australian Federal 40th Anniversary Citation 

The AFP 40th Anniversary Citation commemorates the 40th anniversary of the Australian Federal Police and celebrates the impact, achievements and successes since the AFP’s foundation in October 1979.

The AFP 40th Anniversary Citation is awarded to all AFP employees deemed eligible by the Commissioner or their delegate, who were serving between 19 October 2019 and 18 October 2020.

The citation is framed by a pewter border.  The dark blue celebrates excellence in policing.  The light blue represents the sworn members and the uniform they wear. White represents unsworn members who support sworn police on the front-line.  Red is in celebration of the AFP’s ruby anniversary.
