Naval Volunteer Reserve Decoration
Instituted in 1908 by King Edward VII. Differing from the (RD) only by its ribbon, which prior to 1919 was a plain dark green. Awarded to officers of the R.A.N.V.R. for 20 years continuous service. Issue of the (VRD) ceased in 1969 with the merging of the R.A.N.V.R. with the R.A.N.R.
